Business owner Rowan Chuck and artist Robert Human both have a love for art, design and garment decoration. They have come together to develop the brand ROOT CAUSE APPAREL in support of mental health awareness.
Root Cause is part of a wider group of clothing designers and manufacturers. Originally set up in 1998 as Red Oak Roller, we worked within the school wear and sports clothing industry. Rowan Chuck, one of our directors, was involved when Red Oak Roller was first established. He was hands on in all areas of the business, from product choice and development, to customer accounts, and printing and embroidery. Rowan's interest in printing encouraged him to learn more about the different types of clothing printing, and the company soon invested in our first screen printing machine.
Red Oak Roller grew rapidly over the next 15 years, venturing into the workwear area, whilst still building our school wear prescence in local areas.
In 2016, Red Oak Roller joined forces with Corporate Wear Ltd; a well established corporate clothing firm. Corporate Wear Ltd was set up in 2005, by another of our directors Victoria Morgan. The amalgamation meant the company could use their expertise and experience in all areas of branded clothing.
Today, we are a family run business with over 50 years combined experience in the clothing industry. Our team is made up of experts in design, printing, embroidery and clothing development. We are based in Essex, where our sales and production teams work alongside each other. We do all our design, printing and embroidery under one roof, so we have complete control over what we produce and sell.
Over the years we have built strong relationships with clients in a wide variety of fields. We pride ourselves on maintaining those relationships and our high number of repeat customers is a testament to the quality of the products we produce and service we offer.
